YES, INSURANCE IS ACCEPTED!
I am currently contracted with Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Aetna, HealthNet (MediCal & Commercial), and Medicare*.
I am also credentialed as an out-of-network provider with Tricare West which means visits are partially covered on Select plans. Tricare Prime members can request a prior-authorization to see an out-of-network provider if Tricare is not able to provide the medically necessary care (e.g. nutrition counseling for an eating disorder, diabetes, or PCOS).
*Medicare only covers nutrition counseling for diabetes, chronic kidney disease not on dialysis, and kidney transplants within the last 36 months.

Out-of-Network Benefits
You might have out-of-network coverage. Call you insurance or look at your plan online to see if you do. I will provide you a monthly superbill, automatically delivered to your email, to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I also might be able to submit on your behalf.
Gap Coverage or Single Case Agreement
You might be able to receive coverage as if I was “in-network” if your plan does not have a registered dietitian in their network or local to you (within 30 miles or under a 60 minute drive) that provides the services I offer. This is often called Gap coverage.
You might also be able to request a Single Case Agreement (e.g. for an eating disorder).

REFERRAL
Dietitians practicing in California must have a referral from one of your medical providers (primary care provider, gynecologist, etc.) prior to our first appointment.
